Trail Work Underway at Bracken Mountain
This could mean great things for the Pisgah Stage Race! Imagine starting downtown, riding the pathway to the Eastatoe Trail, riding in Pisgah then finishing on Bracken Mountain Trail to coast back into downtown Brevard. Can you say world class?

Carolina Youth Mountain Bike League

We're excited to be a part of the Carolina Youth Mountain Bike League (CYMBL) - a mountain bike race series designed specifically for kids! These 5 low cost mountain bike races will give kids in the Carolinas the opportunity to line up against peers on fun, flowy trails! The hope is to create an environment for kids to learn, exercise and have fun at a low cost in a family setting. Clinics will be held at each event around a “theme” such as nutrition, stretching, trail etiquette, proper bike fit, and bike maintenance. Bike shops will be available for questions and have the “themed” products on sale. In addition to the races, there will be a different contest offered each time such as a lake jump, skinny contest, longest track stand, etc. A bike wash will also be available at each venue. Participants are expected to race “caffeine-free” and caffeine will not be offered to participants at the venues. Recycling and composting will be available and expected.

Determination

Some guys are really determined to make it to the Pisgah Stage Race, even if they have to pay for the registration shipping costs 2 cents at a time.

Farlow Facelift

We had a good crew come out to help with more trailwork on Farlow the other day. This steep staircase was washing away pretty quickly.
This new line takes the old logging road that was hidden beneath years of fallen locusts.

Chuck and Sam burned through all of their gas to cut out 20+ logs.

Thanks to everyone for helping out. I think everyone was surprised at how quickly we knocked this out! With proper planning and a hardworking group of folks we seem to be getting a lot done in Pisgah lately! What a great way to spend a Sunday morning.
